We were looking for a new monitor and thought this looked good so ordered it; it was not good. App is unwieldy, screen is terrible and unusable, signal is poor and when it does get signal there’s such a delay it is hardly worth bothering with. Control buttons are unresponsive and the image is grainy. Avoid.

Let me give you an honest review of this camera.It has only ONE plus , that it comes with the small screen and you can watch from other room.But, oh boy how it stresses me out when I watch it from the app, it takes ages to connect and disconnects In between, very poor connection though my other cameras at home doesn’t have any issues. For this price? It’s not worth it! I better get camera cheaper that even rotates and doesn’t disconnect., and have broader vision range .

Decent wifi/Local baby monitor combo – Customer Service is superb!
Great product. Could be a better but there are a couple reasons for the great review.First is the fact it is a Local monitor with a Wifi option. There is a very slight delay in the feed to the monitor but its not that bad. The set-up is pretty simple for the wi-fi but if you are not technologically inclined, it may be a bit frustrating. Just take a deep breath, follow the instructions and all should work well.A couple things are knocks against it, such as the battery life when unplugged is ATROCIOUS. I have many outlets around so that isn’t an issue for me. Hopefully the battery life can be improved to last more than 2 hours without it beeping. Also, the wi-fi connection to the phone can sometimes get finicky, but its generally passable. If you are dependent on the wifi aspect of it only, maybe a wi-fi only monitor may be better.To me, this monitor/camera is somewhere better 3.5-4 stars. Why I give it a 5 star, though, is the customer service. Absolutely top notch imo. I had a issue with the app (where the wi-fi feed and other info is) and also an issue with the Monitor unit. Both were managed promptly and with a courteous and professional manner. It may not be the best unit on the market but the customer service pushes it above and beyond.Even though the product isn’t the GREATEST, it actually is great and I’d recommend it 10 times over because of its versatility as well as customer service.

Excellent baby monitor – recommended
We’re very happy with our purchase of the ChillaxCare Giraffe Pro Smart Baby Monitor. Set up was very easy, picture quality is excellent and it’s been very easy to use. The parent control unit keeps a battery charge longer than expected (a few hours) and has fantastic range. We appreciate the security features of the camera and that privacy is taken seriously, with the high levels of encryption used. The gooseneck on the camera makes it very easy to adjust the angle and the clip works well on the side of the crib, or on a book that we often use as a counterbalance when our little one is sleeping outside of his crib. Highly recommended!

Save your $ and go with a more reputable brand
I’ve had this item for almost a year now and the screen constantly disconnects, even though I’m not using the wifi function.The display also constantly shows that the room is 3-4 degrees hotter than it actually is, and the screen battery dies really fast.I’ve not been able to get help from the manufacturer or Amazon.Would not recommend this item or brand.
